Colgante: Tangente asimétrica

La entrada de hoy trata sobre un colgante que realicé durante un ejercicio en clase donde el protagonismo debía recaer sobre una piedra y su montura. La piedra es una amatista en talla pera de unos 12 mm de largo. Sus engarces están soldados a una estructura compuesta por tres circunferencias de plata. El hecho que una se disponga en tangente asimétrica y de que la piedra este descentrada está pensado para que la pieza no resulte tan geométrica, rompiendo así la estructura sin que por ello se vea muy descompuesta.

Today's post features a pendant I made at school. The stone is an amethyst (pear cut, 12 mm long), set upon a silver structure made of three circunferences. The fact that one of them is arranged as an asymmetrical tangent, and also the fact that the stone is offset, is made on purpose to give the final piece a non-geometrical feeling, and to break the structure without making it chaoitic either.

Anillo con 6 amatistas

Esta entrada trata sobre un nuevo anillo. De 3 mm de ancho y 2,2 mm de alto, hay clavadas en él seis amatistas de 2 mm de diámetro en talla brillante. Es un anillo muy elegante y muy discreto, de un matizado rayado. Espero que os guste. This entry is about a new ring. 3 mm wide and 2,2 mm high, there are six amethysts nailed into it, 2 mm wide each, in a brilliant cut. It is a very elegant and discreet ring, finished in a streaked texture. I hope you will like it. Broche floral

La entrada de hoy es un broche. Nunca había hecho ninguno, pero el resultado creo que es satisfactorio. La pieza en sí esta realizada en plata, lleva 4 peridotos o olivinos de 3 mm de talla brillante y 4 amatistas de 2,5 mm de talla brillante. En el centro de la pieza hay una perla de grandes dimensiones (13-14 mm), al ser el broche de plata es una perla de río. La terminación de la pieza es una mezcla entre rayado y pulido. La parte central de la pieza es pulida y los pétalos que sobresalen por abajo son rayados. Como siempre lleva un baño de plata para protegerla más. Today's entry is about a brooch. This is the first one I've ever made, but I think the result is satisfactory. The piece is made in silver, with 4 peridotes or olivines 3 mm wide and of brilliant cut, and 4 amethysts 2,5 mm wide of brilliant cut also. There is a big sized pearl in the middle (13-14 mm), and since the brooch is silver it is a river pearl. The final texture is a combination between streaked and polished. The middle part is polished and the protruding petals are streaked. As always, to better protect it, it is silver plated. Anillo con amatista y zafiros rosas

La primera entrada del blog la quiero dedicar a una pieza que a mí personalmente me gusta mucho. Se trata de un anillo con una amatista central de gran tamaño (10-12 mm de diámetro) y 8 zafiros rosas.

Esta realizado en plata y tiene un terminado pulido, que realza la amatista.
